Interview with Mizuho – Part 2
The Odyssey of Mizuho continues in France, the new path of the future has just begun to illuminate.
- You have obtained the “profession liberal” residence permit in France, but do you intend to practice your activity in Japan?
Of course my business could be based in Japan too, but if I cannot settle down well in France to start my business, it will not work in Japan either. The question is not to know whether it’s good or not good, but it depends on how you want it to be. In my case, I first want to be independent in France and be sure of myself, and make my project work here in France. It is after that I will choose if I continue to work in France or to return to Japan. I cannot stop and be disturbed in an ambiguous situation if I’m not satisfied. I want to be master of all my choices, I think I have to take responsibility myself. I don’t insist to become perfect, but I would like to be close to my ideal.
It is true that there are many foreigners thinking of returning to their own countries when they encounter some problems. And they think that a life with no visa problem or language-barrier is easier and simpler. But even if you change your country or language, you do not necessarily change yourself. Moreover, we are faced with some difficulties abroad that we would not have encountered if we had stayed in our own country. I think you are someone who analyzes things yourself and who seeks to enrich your life …
In fact, I did not really have a clear vision of my life or how to work. Even after coming to France, I could not imagine working as a freelance patterner.
- What made you think about your life?
I experienced a specific event that made me think about my life, and I decided to live as a freelance patterner in France. I think that here everyone’s ideas are accepted and respected by everyone, so I can live more freely.
- What is your project in the future?
I will focus on working with companies by expanding my networks, and then I will start my own projects. Today is a transition period; in fact, every step is important to me.
- Do you have a word of encouragement to address to foreigners who want to realize their dream in France?
It is true that we experience more difficulties and trouble if we want to pursue his dream. I would like to make a few quotes that encouraged me when I encountered some problems.
“We can do our best, the results have lived up to our expectations. Being too obsessed with the desire to have results, we will tend to choose the path less risky which results in limiting our progress.”
“Accept what you have chosen. ”
“You should not be ashamed even if others are better than you. But, you should be ashamed of not having progressed compared to the previous year. ”
“People grow up and down. ”
When we do something new, we receive advice and information from various people. It’s important to follow the advice, but if you listen too much to people, you can lose your track. At that moment, you have to choose by yourself. And even if we experience failure, we can learn from it and it becomes a good experience. I’m still making progress, but I hope all my experiences will help you with something. Thank you.
She is ready to move to the second stage of her life in France by obtaining “Liberal profession” residence permit, but I was convinced that she was preparing at the same time for the problems she is supposed to come across. Nevertheless, she concluded with her determined and glittering look, “If you want something with all your heart, it will come true.”
