“Weekend trip” to Giverny
What are you going to do this weekend?
I suggest you take a little trip to Giverny.
Giverny is a small village situated 75km from west Paris, and it’s easy to go, it take only 1 hour by train.
Giverny is a really famous place for “Monet’s house and garden”, because Claude Monet lived in here from 1883 to 1926.
In this garden, you can see lots of flowers and a pond with water lilies. The artist painted numbers of water lilies series in here.
In the Claude Monet’s house, you can’t find out only lots of his paintings, but also the japanese prtints.
Monet’s house and garden opens during the summer. ( April – October ).
In this village, you can relax thanks to the beautiful nature and fresh air !
You will forget all about the stress from your job and daily life.
If you like the impressionisme, it will be better to visit the village.
Directions : Get on TER for Rouan at Saint-Lazar station.
Around 45 minutes later, get off at Vernon station, take a suttle bus to Giverny.
